Overview
If you can't access the email address associated with your Quicken ID, whether you use Quicken Classic or Quicken Simplifi, and you don't remember your Quicken ID password, don't worry, you can use the form below to submit a request to change it!
Please note that the email address your Quicken ID is being changed to cannot already have a Quicken ID created with it. To view the Quicken ID you're currently using:
- In Quicken for Windows, go to Help > About Quicken.
- In Quicken for Mac, go to Quicken > About Quicken.
- In Quicken Simplifi, on the left panel, select the settings gear icon > General.
Do you know your password and just want to update the email address, or make other profile changes such as updating the phone number?: You can click here for steps to do this directly through your Quicken ID profile. You do not need this form to make that change.
Before submitting your request
Before submitting the Email Change Request Form, please review the following important details to help ensure your request is approved and the process goes smoothly.
- For this form, you’ll need to attach a Proof of Identity (such as a driver license, passport, or other government‑issued photo ID).
- Please submit only one form, unless you realize there is a mistake and need to submit a corrected version.
- Once your request is sent, it typically takes 24 to 48 hours to process.
- You only need one photo of the front of your Proof of Identity.
- Make sure the photo or document you attach is clear, readable, and shows all details.
- Military ID is not currently accepted as a valid form of identification for this form.
- For business accounts, don’t forget to include valid business documentation, such as a business license.
- In the case that you need to gain control of a Quicken account in the unfortunate event of the death of the account holder, you will need to attach a legal document, such as a Power of Attorney or Change of Liability.
Instructions to attach a photo taken with your phone/tablet
If you have taken a photo of any of these documents with a mobile phone or tablet, you can transfer the image to your computer so you can attach the image to the Request Form.
- Connect the device to your computer via USB cord.
- When prompted, select to open the files from the device.
- Locate the image and drag it to the Desktop.
- Back on the Request Form, select an option from the What proof of identity are you attaching? drop-down.
- Note: The drop-down will only populate when an option has been selected in the Reason for Request drop-down first.
- Click Choose a File.
- In the following dialog box, select Desktop in the left panel.
- Locate and select the image you want to submit and click Open in the bottom right.
- You will see the file name replace the Choose a File button.
You will see the name of the image next to the Choose File button. This confirms you have successfully attached the image
